Nixon later bragged that it was his "friendship" with Soviet Premier Leonid Brezhnev that "saved" the world from Nuclear War in 1973.



                                                     

 Neglecting, of course, to mention that it was his actions that brought us to the brink of Nuclear Annihilation by alerting all US Nuclear Forces to go to DEFCON 3- all based upon faulty intelligence!
